Warning: I'm considered weird, and quirky, but then again I think everyone's varying degrees of weird and I like quirky.
I am a third culture kid but prefer the term global nomad though it doesn't apply as much as the former, am classified as a type "hidden immigrant" and a "banana". This explains my love for baseball somewhat, and my command of English as well as my use of baseball expressions and whenever I hear someone else using a baseball expression I smile. I grew up thinking I was an American for a while. Now I'm just "lost" and am okay with that, though sometimes it does get lonely.
My humor is often dry, and sometimes obscure. I am very sarcastic and sometimes witty. I describe myself as boring, dry, and long-winded but few people believe me; well, other than for the last bit as I can be quite rambly once I get started and if I'm comfortable with the person I'm talking with. I guess it's kind of hard to believe that I'm boring or uninteresting when I do so enjoy making people laugh and smile and have gotten into hours long conversations over MSN and Skype. But I do tend to put / send people to sleep/bed.
My interests are wide and varied and I try to be open- and broad-minded. So talk to me about anything.
I can be both random and silly and have no idea how my brain works -- my most well known and oft cited thought train jump was from jam to thinking about how sperm donors and their children might feel about what they did (thanks to remembering an episode of FRIENDS).
And I love to play around with words. I believe that the true test of someone's command of a language is not in the number of complicated, long, or obscure words they know and use but how they use the words that they know.
