What is (making) that squeaking noise? It sounds a little like a creaky door hinge but unless a little kid is playing with such a door somewhere (and I'm at Starbucks) I don't see how that can be the case. It happens more frequently in succession with a longer creak and not much pause in between anyway to likely be that. Edit/Update (11:41AM): Starbucks starting to / has filled up a little bit now. Cute blond kids (boys), a guy wearing a pink (sort of dark muted) shirt and glasses... shirt almost similar in color to the shirt of a girl sitting at the middle of the place table (not a bad color and unisex even, I might wear it even), a group of older gents (not old and gray... but not young, maybe graying) sitting together from when I got here catching up I think or simply hanging out (actually, I think it's more the latter now) and talking. :) All of these in different groups, none of them sitting alone. There are a few sitting solitary though, a few and a lonely bear on the counter... still, maybe the bear isn't so lonely, the place isn't empty and it's kind of like he's the official silent "greeter" at the counter while you make your order. (update, 11:45AM: the blond boys are gone but now there's a brown haired / dark blonde, hair cut above the shoulders, little girl in white polka dot on red halter top eating lime mentos.) My connection to the starbucks network keeps dropping from time to time but I suppose that gives me opportunity to look around. Considering getting up and just walking around a little, not around Starbucks but a little/Slight further than that. ^^; Current Location: Starbucks @ Gardens

Is that...? lol! Well I do believe that that's a first. I wonder what the Postal workers and Frank thought of the sweet potato sent to Postsecret. And whatever could the potato mean? XD. I just found it quite amusing and a little curious. A little further down the post is a square piece of cardboard and an e-mailed message in response, providing a glimpse at two wars -- one abroad in Iraq and one in the U.S. at home. (Quoting a bit from the email: "We have two wars to fight big brother. Love you. Miss you. Need you back.")...makes me think of the show Army Wives, though I've only watched perhaps one and a half episodes by chance heh -- the ending of one episode and perhaps managed to watch more / all of the episode after that. And about halfway down the page: "'I hope that Every Person who touches this postcard pops a bubble so I can feel connected to someone... ANYONE...' [When this postcard arrived, all the bubbles had been popped.]" The postcard was simple handwritten text, capital letters (and the last ellipsis) in purple font outlined in the same marker black the rest of the words were written in, under a sheet of bubblewrap. Ah... bubblewrap. Hehe. And maybe I'm reading too much into it / just playing around with the words and image/typography, but I wonder if the magenta highlighted text was supposed to suggest something along the lines of "hope (this) touches someone".Read this week's secrets at: Postsecret.comTags: links
